🛡️ Safety and Testing

The Maxine One backpack was designed in collaboration with veterinarians and rehabilitation specialists. Every unit undergoes rigorous quality testing, including tests for the strength of the buckles, zipper locks, and the load-bearing frame.

Important Tip: We recommend taking a break every 30–40 minutes of carrying to allow your dog to stretch and walk.

Before purchasing, carefully measure your dog's back length and chest girth to ensure the carrier fits comfortably and securely.

🎒 How to Use the Little Chonk Dog Carrier

1. Opening the Carrier

   • The zippers are located on the sides of the backpack - unzip them so the backpack opens to its full width

   • This allows the dog to simply lie down on the backpack without having to put their legs through the special openings

2. Placing the Dog Inside the Carrier

   • Motivate the dog to lie down on the unzipped backpack

   • Or, gently place them into the opened backpack

3. Fastening the Safety Belt

   • Attach the safety clip to the dog´s collar or harnes

   • Then, fasten the safety strap that wraps around the dog´s neck or chest

4. Closing the Carrier

   • Zip up the side zippers again so the backpack is completely closed

   • Each zipper has a rubber loop that can be threaded through the top plastic clasp before fastening the buckle - this provides extra security against accidental opening. The zippers have an automatic safety lock

   • The dog is now safely inside

5. Securing the Backpack on Your Back

   • Firmly take the backpack by the handle on the top side of the carrier

   • Put the carrier on your back

   • Adjust the shoulder straps so that the backpack sits firmly and comfortably

   • Fasten the chest and hip belts and adjust them for comfort

   • Check that the backpack is balanced and does not pull backward or to the side
6. Check Before Travel
   

   • Make sure the dog is comfortable and sitting naturally

   • Check all zippers and clasps

   • If the dog is nervous, you can motivate them with treats while carrying or let them get used to it at home for a while before going on an outing
