Když něco začne od srdce a s radostí, je to předzvěst toho, že to bude skvělé! FUNKY DOG jsem založila v srpnu 2015 a vše začalo celkem rychle.
Moje jméno je Katka a mým cílem je přinášet na tento svět co nejvíce ekologicky vyrobeny produkty pro pejskaře. A vše je také vyrobeno lokálně s láskou v České republice.
10% až 30% z ceny produktů darujeme zvířatům v nouzi. Značka FUNKY DOG je tak symbolem podpory. Každý pejsek se značkou FUNKY DOG světu ukazuje světu, že pomáhá svým kamarádům útulkáčům.
Jak to celé začalo?
Myšlenka psa s motýlkem začala, když jsem jednou viděla někde na ulici v roku 2011 malého mix jezevčíka a měl na obojku červený motýlek. Hned jsem si pomyslela, že to vypadá skvěle a že Kadlovi (mému psíkovi) by se jeden určitě hodil. Motýlek jsem hledala snad 4 roky! Primárně jsem hledala motýlek pro lidi, ale nikde nic. Ani v mých oblíbených vintage obchodech a sekáčích. Jednoduše motýlci zmizely. Potom někdy v létě 2015 jsem konečně našla jeden pro muže, co se mi líbil!
Od momentu, co Kadlino měl motýlek na obojku (a nosil ho samozřejmě stále), poutal pozornost každého na ulici a bylo vidět, že s ním dělá i radost! Bylo to velmi milé a mě to těšilo. To byla ta inspirace, která mě dostala k zamyšlení "Proč nevyrábím psí motýlky já sama když na trhu nejsou dostupné? Lidi by to určitě potěšilo a mohli by si koupit motýlek i pro svého hafana!"
Jsem kreativní člověk, kterého baví něco vlastnoručně vyrábět. Tak jsem se do toho pustila! Začala jsem motýlky vyrábět při své práci. Sama jsem si navrhla design motýlku, jak bude fungovat zapínaní na obojek nebo postroj. Chtěla sem aby to bylo praktický a jednoduchý.
Od začátku mi bylo jasné, že chci prodejem produktů pomáhat zvířátkům. Celý život se zapojuji do různých aktivit, které pomáhají opuštěným či týraným zvířátkům, aby mohli být zdraví, veselí, hraví, a aby byli milovaní.
Tváří značky je můj milovaný Mr. Cuddlo ("Kadlo") - neobyčejný pes se silnou osobností, plemeno "čistokrevný oříšek".
Za 7 let od začátku, jsem ušla dlouhou cestu a vyrábíme kromě motýlků i jiné produkty - obojky, vodítka, pelechy a máme dokonce i vlastní hmyzí pamlsky! Na výrobu používám výhradně etické a ekologické materiály, v tomto případně je to materiál Piñatex z listů ananasu, len, konopí a bavlnu. Textilní produkty jsou vyráběny v chráněné dílně. Spolu s dvěma kolegy jsem také napsala a vydala kuchařku pro psy Neštěkej a jez!
