Reversible Christmas Dog Bandana
Christmas accessories usually have one flaw: after New Year’s they end up in a drawer. Our Christmas dog bandana is reversible, and both sides are more wintry than strictly Christmassy. One side has snowmen with mugs of cocoa, the other gold snowflakes on red. This dog neck scarf works from Advent to the end of winter.
Key benefits
- Reversible design — two patterns in one, no need to buy two bandanas
- Hand-sewn in the D.R.A.K. sheltered workshop in Tanvald
- 100% cotton — soft, breathable, won’t irritate sensitive skin
- Winter pattern — snowmen with mugs and gold snowflakes on red, wearable from Advent to the end of winter
- 75 CZK = €3 from every bandana goes directly to shelters in the Czech Republic
Every bandana is cut and sewn by hand, so the pattern lands a little differently on each piece. Depending on how the fabric is cut, the snowmen on some bandanas may end up upside down or sideways (see product photos). Every piece is a small original.
📏 How to choose the right bandana size
The bandana fastens with a handy button. If your dog is between sizes or you have a puppy, we recommend the larger size – it’s easy to adjust.
- S – 22 cm: small breeds such as Chihuahua and Prague Ratter
- M – 32 cm: Yorkshire Terrier, Dachshund, Pug
- L – 42 cm: Beagle, Cocker Spaniel, Border Collie
- XL – 52 cm: Labrador, Golden Retriever, Bernese Mountain Dog
👀 FUNKY TIP
Tie a small knot in the bandana first, then fasten the button. If needed, you can also move the button. Thick coat? Go for a larger size – it will stand out more! On hot summer days, soak the bandana in cold water to help your dog cool down.
Cotton that makes sense
The bandana is sewn from 100% cotton, a material with a long track record for accessories worn directly against the skin. It’s breathable, dries quickly, handles frequent washing well and doesn’t cause irritation, even in dogs with sensitive skin. It also holds its shape after repeated wear, so the pattern and colours last all season.
Hand-sewn in the D.R.A.K. sheltered workshop
Every bandana is hand-sewn in the D.R.A.K. sheltered workshop in Liberec and Tanvald, where we provide meaningful work to people who would struggle to find it elsewhere. It’s not a marketing add-on. It’s part of how FUNKY DOG has worked since 2015. That’s why you can count on careful finishing: strong seams, clean hems and no unnecessary chemicals in the fabric.
75 CZK = €3 helps animals in need
From every bandana sold, 75 CZK (€3) goes directly to shelters and rescue stations in the Czech Republic. Since 2015, sales of our dog accessories have allowed us to redistribute over 3.8 million CZK. With this bandana, you get your dog a new accessory and help another dog on its way to a home.
FAQ
How do I put the bandana on?
Simply fasten it with the button, or tie it in a knot around the neck. It takes a few seconds, with no complicated adjusting.
Is the bandana machine washable?
Yes, the cotton bandana can be machine washed at 30–40 °C.
Is it suitable for dogs with sensitive skin?
Yes. Cotton is one of the gentlest materials for direct skin contact. It doesn’t irritate or cause overheating.
Why are the snowmen on my bandana facing a different way than in the photo?
Every bandana is cut by hand, so the pattern lands a little differently on each piece. The snowmen may end up upside down or sideways. It’s not a defect but a sign of handmade production.

I founded FUNKY DOG in August 2015. My name is Katka, and it all started with a bow tie.
In 2011 I passed a little dachshund mix on the street wearing a red bow tie on his collar. I knew right away that my Kadlo needed one too. I searched for four years - shops, vintage stores, second-hand places - but bow ties seemed to have vanished. Then in the summer of 2015 I finally found a men’s one I liked. Kadlo wore it all the time, and people kept stopping us on the street because of it. If nobody makes bow ties for dogs, I thought, I’ll make them myself. I designed the shape and the fastening so it would slip easily onto a collar or a harness, and started sewing.
From the very first piece I knew the sales had to help animals, the same way I’ve been involved in helping abandoned and abused animals my whole life. We donate 10 to 30 % of the price of every product to shelters and animals in need. The bow tie became our signature: a dog wearing one is supporting its friends in shelters.
Over time we added collars, leashes, dog beds and even our own insect-based treats. We make everything from hemp, linen and cotton, locally in the Czech Republic, and our textile products are sewn in a sheltered workshop. Together with two colleagues I also wrote a cookbook for dogs, Neštěkej a jez! (Don’t Bark, Eat!).
For ten years, the face of the brand was Mr. Cuddlo, our Kadlo, a purebred “hazelnut” with a big personality. He left us in 2025. His bow tie is now worn by Sendy, a ten-year-old lady we adopted.
